Police are searching for a man who burglarized a Girard Estate establishment.
At 5:50 a.m. Feb. 7, authorities ventured to the Pretzel Factory, 2125 W. Oregon Ave., meeting with the owner, who stated an unknown person cut the padlock to the roll-down security gate, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The figure proceeded to remove the lock to the main door, enter the business and steal a small fire safe that contained approximately $1,400. The thief, of whom a detailed description was not available as of press time, left the area in a dark-colored vehicle.
