—Jackson Doggette, 22, of North Philly, was sentenced Jan. 7 to 13 years in prison, five years of supervised release, $3,130 restitution and a $500 special assessment for three armed robberies of businesses, including stealing $2,230 from Rite Aid, 810 S. Broad St., Oct. 18, ’11 (“Serial robbers face federal charges,” June 7, 2012).


—Richard Minicozzi, 79, of Elkins Park, was sentenced Jan. 29 to seven years in prison, three years supervised release, $40,000 fine and $1,800 special assessment for running a pill mill out of his Passyunk Square office. He was found guilty of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and 17 counts of distribution of controlled substances March 14, ’12 (“Pill popping,” April 5, ’12). He had prescribed Vicodin, Xanax and oxycodone to cash-paying customers at his pharmacy, 731 Morris St.


—Kevin Beattie, 26, of the 2400 block of South Camac Street, pled guilty Jan. 30 to the June 17, 2012, playground arson at FDR Park, Broad Street and Pattison Avenue (“Alleged arsonist arrested,” June 28, ’12). He will be sentenced on March 14.
