Police are seeking a man who followed an 81-year-old woman from a Passyunk Square check cashing store.
The suspect, captured in surveillance video, waited near the pawn window while the woman cashed her check for an undisclosed amount at United Check Cashing, 1123 S. Broad St., at 1 p.m July 17, police said. As she exited the location, he followed — and even held the door open for her, according to video surveillance. When they reached the 1300 block of South Juniper Street, he shoved her to the ground and snatched her wallet, which was hanging around her neck, before fleeing westbound on Wharton.
