An intruder or intruders swiped copper cables from a Navy Yard shipment unit.
A manager and his employees with Commercial Line & Electric Inc., based in Glen Mills, had left a work site at 2001 Constitution Ave. at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 26, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Upon returning at 6 a.m. Dec. 27, they discovered a lock on a cargo container had been cut and three-foot-long discarded copper cables, valued at $10,000, were missing.
Police did not have any suspects at press time.
