Locals named to women’s networking board

The Professional Women’s Roundtable, a nonprofit founded in 2002 that provides networking and growth opportunities to developing businesswomen in Philadelphia, recently announced its new board members, which includes two South Philadelphians.

Elizabeth Ireland, of 12th and Tasker streets, was elected as its secretary. Ireland, the senior manager at the auditing and consulting company Grant Thornton LLP., is also a board member of Women’s Way, a women’s funding federation.

Caroline Bean, of 20th and Montrose streets, was named a board member and co-chair of its public relations/communications committee. The media relations and social media manager at the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. She also is a committee member for the Southwest Center City Run, Walk & Roll 5K fundraiser.
