Local named to Public Relations Society of America board

A Queen Village resident was named to the the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Philadelphia Chapter’s 2011 board of directors.

Blair Kahora Cardinal, of the 100 block of Monroe Street, was elected as the chapter’s 2011 president-elect. The board guides the nonprofit professional organization in its mission to provide educational and networking opportunities and set standards of excellence and principles of ethics for the public relations profession and the chapter’s 575 members.

Cardinal, an account supervisor with the Ardmore-based public relations firm, Buchanan PR, previously held the role of the society’s treasurer. She formerly served as the PR Institute training program’s chair and when she was honored as the co-recipient of the Anthony Fulginiti Award for her work on its planning committee. Cardinal is pursuing her master’s degree in business administration at Villanova University School of Business.
