On July 14, an indictment noted that Grant Shea, of the 2000 block of South Dorrance Street, will face one count of receipt of child pornography, distribution of child porn, and possession of child porn. This announcement stems from the allegation that on about April 24, the 29-year-old, then the health and human services program manager at the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management, received via the Internet a visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct, with the report contending that he also distributed the image.

The document adds that on June 2, the South Philadelphian knowingly possessed computers that included material that involved “the use of minors, including prepubescent minors and minors who had not attained 12 years of age, engaging in sexually explicit conduct.” The indictment also reveals that a search of his home occurred, with officials seizing a desktop computer and two laptops. Shea entered a “not guilty” plea during his Friday arraignment and is under electronic monitoring at his home.
