When Jason Douglas isn’t running his dance studio (see On the move), he is busy providing entertainment at parties or events from here to New York City. It seems he knows a little something about how to get a crowd going, as he is once again is the chart topper in the disk jockey category. He does mostly weddings, reserving Friday and Saturday nights for those special occasions.

“I am around people who are expecting to have a good time,” Douglas said.

“Thank you, we had a great time” is a regular response he gets from partygoers.

It’s not unusual for members of the catering staff to grab a chair so they can enjoy the performance following a hard night’s work.

The annual Christmas party for the South Philadelphia Lions Clubs, an organization that assists those with visual impairments, is one of his annual gigs that ranks as one of his favorites. During the summer months, Douglas splits his weeks between South Philadelphia and the Big Apple. No matter where he is, Douglas is simply looking for a room full of smiling faces.

“When people are sitting there smiling, you know it’s a good show,” he said.

Eddie Tully mixed to a second-place beat while Johnny Looch recorded a third-place tune.
