Police are looking for a man who pulled off a Whitman home invasion March 23.
Upon arriving at the 100-block-of-Tree-Street residence, authorities learned from the occupant that an unknown individual came into his abode, ventured to the second-floor bedroom, broke down the door and pointed a black handgun at him to demand money, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The two engaged in a struggle, with both falling down the stairs. Striking the complainant on the head with the weapon, the interloper copped $900 from his pants pocket and fled the area.
The homeowner, who received transport to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, described the attacker as black; having a light complexion; wearing a black hoodie; and wielding a black gun.
