A man was the target of violence as multiple bullets damaged his car as he cruised along West Passyunk Avenue.

Upon driving east over the bridge, a 23-year-old man saw a silver Buick Regal with tinted windows a Pennsylvania plate pull up alongside him at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on the 3000 block of West Passyunk, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He heard gunshots strike his car four times before looking over to see the Buick’s driver pointing a gun at him before speeding off eastbound on Passyunk.

The man believed he saw the same car at a Southwest Philly Gulf gas station, but never saw the driver before, Tolliver said.

The man’s vehicle was hit on the driver’s side including the front fender, the front tire and the front driver’s side window twice, but he did not sustain any injuries, Tolliver said. He was unable to provide a description of the offender.
