A Queen Village man was cited for providing private security for more than 30 city businesses without a license.
Since 2011, Osvaldo Gallelli, 39, of the 1000 block of South Second Street, has provided private security services to 33 clients through his Northern Liberties’ operation, Prodigal Private Security, according to the District Attorney’s Office. Some of those whom he provided services to included restaurants, such as Center City’s El Vez and Rouge; entertainment venues like Fairmount’s Eastern State Penitentiary and University City’s World Café Live; events such as the Navy Yard’s Philly Craft Beer and International Beer festivals; as well as the University of Pennsylvania.
Gallelli turned himself into the District Attorney’s Office Monday, at which time he was charged with 33 counts of violating the Private Detective Act of 1953 and was released on his own recognizance, according to court records.
