A thief carjacked a woman’s vehicle and kidnapped its owner in Pennsport before stranding her across the bridge.
The 27-year-old woman exited her parked auto, a 2008 Nissan Altma coupe with a New Jersey plate, WSE10W, on her way to pick up a friend at Second and Mifflin streets at 1:04 a.m. May 15, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.
There, a man pointed a large, black handgun at her and forced her into her passenger’s seat. He drove her to Camden, N.J. and dropped her off near the city’s police department where she flagged down an officer to report the incident. The crime was reported to the Philadelphia Police Department Tuesday.
The carjacker was described as Latino with a light complexion, age 30, 5-foot-9, having a medium build, scarred face; and wearing a white baseball hat, baggy jeans and a tan and white scarf that covered his mouth and nose.
