Three men in an SUV fired shots at a man’s vehicle on the bordering street between Point Breeze and Grays Ferry Saturday.

At 4:40 a.m. a 22-year-old was driving northbound on the 1800 block of South 25th Street when a sliver Ford Escape pulled up to the right of his vehicle and opened fire, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Four bullets hit his vehicle. The man sped north, but the culprit followed him to Washington Avenue where eight more shots were fired toward him before offender fled in an unknown direction.

The motive of the shooting was unknown at press time. It was not clear if the man was struck and police did not provide a description of the offenders.
