The man believed to be responsible for the latest pharmacy holdup in South of South has been apprehended.

Police arrested Steven Akins, 25, of Port Richmond, at his home June 6, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

Akins allegedly entered CVS, 2132 South St., handed a 21-year-old pharmacy employee a note, demanding oxycodones and pointed a silver handgun to his face at 4:47 p.m. May 21, Tolliver said. The 31-year-old female pharmacist retrieved the drugs from the safe and handed them to the offender.

He was charged with robbery, retail theft, simple assault, theft, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime, possession of narcotics charges and firearm violations, according to court records. He is being held on $255,000 bail, which had not been posted at press time.
