An anonymous tip helped to nab a Lower Moyamensing blossom thief.
Danielle Dimeo, 44, of the 1900 block of South 29th Street, allegedly stole 14 flowers from flower boxes attached to the porch of a home on the 2100 block of South 10th Street and fled southbound at 2:10 a.m. March 21, according to the Police Public Affairs Unit. The victim reported the thefts occur regularly as flowers are planted.
Police recovered surveillance video capturing the thief March 28 and an anonymous tip identified Dimeo May 25, according to police.
Dimeo was arrested Saturday and charged with theft and receiving stolen property, according to court records. She posted bail Sunday.
