A West Passyunk fire was deemed to be intentional, but the doer has not been arrested as of press time.

At 12:46 a.m. June 7, an unknown person threw a Molotov cocktail, which is a bottle filled with gasoline and has a wick, through the window of a first-floor hair salon on the 2400 block of Mifflin Street, Executive Chief Richard Davison of the Philadelphia Fire Department said. The blaze self-extinguished.

No one was injured and no damage was reported, Davison said. The fire marshal deemed it an arson, but the motive was unknown and there were no suspects at press time.
