The FBI and the Major Crimes unit are looking for a man who robbed a Newbold bank last week.
At 9:15 a.m. Jan. 23, police responded to a call at Citizens Bank, 2001 S. Broad St., learning from the teller that an unknown figure entered the bank wearing all dark clothing, ventured to her window and produced a demand note, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The worker, who did not notice any weapon, gave over an undisclosed amount of money before the thief fled on foot.
Because of the nature of the clothing, authorities, Tolliver said, do not know the race or gender of the perpetrator. A detailed description of the individual was also not available as of press time.
