This summer the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger is supplying children age 18 and younger free meals at select sites. South Philly boasts more than 100 locations, including recreation centers, schools, churches, community organizations, public housing complexes and playstreets, that are serving up free meals.
“With more than 1,000 sites in Philadelphia serving free meals to kids and teens, no child in Philadelphia should go hungry this summer,” Julie Zaebst, the organization’s interim executive director, said.
