At 9:15 p.m. Dec. 22, the complainant was walking on the 100 block of Manton Street when a gray SUV, possibly a 2004-’09 Dodge Durango, sped past and stopped in the middle of the street, police said. As she continued on her way, an unknown male exited the vehicle, approached her from behind and punched her once in the right side of the head, causing her to fall.
The aggressor took her pocketbook and a bag of food, returned to his ride and sped off, with the victim last catching him heading toward Front and Reed streets. She received transport to Pennsylvania Hospital, where personnel treated the female for swelling and bruising around her injured orb, listing her in stable condition and holding her for observation due to her pregnancy.
