An unknown man entered an elderly man’s apartment twice within two days telling him he must move out.

The man entered through the unlocked front door of the apartment on the 800 block of Snyder Avenue at about 10:20 a.m. Friday and asked the 75-year-old tenant if he was leaving, Detective Tamika Selden of South Detective Division said. He punched him and whacked him with a coffee mug before fleeing in an unknown direction on a silver motorcycle.

A medic transported the man to Methodist Hospital where he was treated for lacerations to his forehead and arm as well as abrasions and bruises on his arms and face, Sullivan said.

The previous day, the same man had told the 75-year-old that he must leave since someone else was moving in and that his landlord wanted the money, Sullivan said.

The offender was described as white, age 35 to 40, 5-foot-9, 225 pounds, bald, with multiple tattoos on both of his arms and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
