Two men snatched a man’s bag after smashing his eyeglasses in Queen Village last week.

A 27-year-old was on the 400 block of Bainbridge Street when he passed two men dress in dark-colored clothing at 1:45 a.m. July 18, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. One of the men pressed an object to his back, said, “drop the bag” and struck him in the back of the head with the unknown object. His glasses fell to the ground and the offender stepped on them. The man dropped his bag, which contained a cell phone, a $150 netbook, bar tools and a culinary book.

The offenders fled west on Bainbridge, Tolliver said.

The victim sustained a minor injury to his head, but did not seek immediate medical treatment.

A detailed description of the offenders was not available at press time.
