A Lower Moyamensing attack caused a man to seek immediate medical care.

At 7:30 p.m. April 19 while the 53-year-old was traveling along the 2300 block of South Eighth Street, two males approached him from behind, with one stating “You know what it’s hitting for, old head, give it up,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. When he denied the demand, the first offender punched him multiple times, with a blow to the face causing him to hit the ground.

He suffered kicks to his head from the second offender, who rifled through his pockets, snatching identification and $180, Tolliver said. The aggressors made an eastbound foot escape on Daly Street, Tolliver said. The man walked to Methodist Hospital for treatment of possible broken fingers on his right hand and a possible broken left wrist, as well as right-side facial and head bruises.

The perpetrators were described as black, age 23, 5-foot-7, 165 pounds and having a medium build. The first had a dark complexion, no facial hair and was wearing a dark gray hoodie and blue jeans while the second had a medium complexion, a mustache and was wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans.
