A man was gunned down outside of a Grays Ferry drinking establishment Monday night.
Police discovered Matthew Smith, 36, of the 3200 block of Wharton Street, outside of Big Fella’s Sports Bar, 1348 S. 33rd St., with multiple gunshot wounds at 10:58 p.m., Officer Jill Russell of the Police Public Affairs Unit said. Smith was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead 20 minutes later.
Police classified the motive as an argument but did not have any suspects at press time.
