Police are seeking two figures who assaulted and robbed a woman in Lower Moyamensing.

Authorities reported to Cookie’s Tavern, 2654 S. Alder St., at 1 a.m. Saturday and learned from the complainant that she had left the location after an altercation with her boyfriend, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The woman contends two individuals were agitating her in regards to the incident, leading her to tell them to mind their own business.

She walked to the front steps of a closed establishment on the 1000 block of Oregon Avenue and sat down, with one of the antagonistic bar patrons spitting on her and the other pushing her to the ground, Tolliver said. They proceeded to assault her with closed fists and kicks to her face and body, leaving them time to dump her purse’s contents on the pavement and make off with a Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone, $40, identification and medication. Residents of the 2600 block of South Warnock Street yelled for the male assaulter to stop, with him and his female accomplice fleeing the area along the same street. The victim described the male as either white or Hispanic, 5-foot-10; and wearing a neon shirt and sneakers and the woman as black, 22 to 28 years old, 5-foot-3; being heavy set; having braces and wearing a dark dress.
