A man armed with a rifle robbed a quintet of men last week in Marconi Plaza.


Brandon McCullough, 22, of the 2700 block of South 18th Street, allegedly attempted to rob two 21-, two 23- and a 25-year-old with a loaded rifle at 12:01 a.m. Feb. 13, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The men fought back, unarming McCullough and causing him to flee westbound on Oregon Avenue empty-handed. Police spotted and arrested the alleged offender at a bus stop at 19th Street and Oregon Avenue.


McCullough was charged with five counts of robbery, simple assault, attempted receiving stolen property, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person.
