A West Passyunk spat left a man stabbed and his girlfriend in jail on Christmas Eve.

A 32-year-old and his girlfriend, Delores Taylor, 48, of the 2200 block of South Beechwood Street, were arguing inside their second-floor apartment when she allegedly stabbed him in his left side at 8:45 p.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.

The wounded man was transported to HUP in stable condition for treatment, Tolliver said.

Officers returned to the location of the crime and knocked on the door. While no one answered, they heard movement and screaming inside, Tolliver said. Upon entering, they spotted Taylor, who allegedly admitted she had committed the crime.

Police recovered the knife at the scene, Tolliver said.

Taylor was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of an instrument of crime, according to court records. She posted 10 percent of her $25,000 bail Dec. 26.
