A male lost his wallet in a Saturday evening attack in South of South.
Ambulating on the 2200 block of Christian Street at 10:55 p.m., the complainant fell to the ground after an unknown figure tackled him from behind, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The stranger then delivered a blow to his head with a foreign object, seizing the moment to steal his wallet, which contained credit cards and identification.
The complainant sustained swelling to his chin and face and cuts to his hands, Tolliver said. He described the offender, whom he last saw fleeing eastbound on Christian Street, as black, 6 foot and 180 pounds; and wearing a dark hoodie.
