A man left behind shattered glass as he fled a Southwest bank after robbing it of an undetermined amount of cash Monday.

At 11:15 a.m., the man handed a 40-year-old teller in Citizens Bank at 2900 Island Ave. a note that said, "Give me the money or I’ll shoot," the FBI said. The teller handed over $1 and $5 bills.

While running out, the suspect kicked the door, shattering the glass, and took off on foot going north on Island.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and was described as black, in his mid-20s, 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-4, with a medium build, thin mustache and wearing a black-and-white checkered cap with earflaps and visor, a dark jacket over a light-colored sweater, and knit gloves. The clothing was found on the 2800 block of Island, according to the FBI.

Gunpoint mugging

A 23-year-old and a friend were walking south on 61st Street when two men pointed a gun at them and said, "Give me your s***. We just got out of jail."

After obtaining the 23-year-old’s wallet with ID and $100 at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, the offenders fled on foot west on Reinhard Street, according to a police report.

The suspects were described as black with dark complexions and thin builds; one was age 20 to 29, 5-foot-11 and wearing a black scarf, while the other was 5-foot-9.

Game over

An armed duo forced their way into a residence on the 6700 block of Grovers Avenue Monday and, before fleeing with an Xbox 360, discharged a round on their way out.

A 22-year-old man answered the door at 8:42 p.m. and a struggle immediately ensued with the pair, a police report said. The 22-year-old and a 25-year-old male were pistol-whipped and a round was discharged before the offenders fled on foot in an unknown direction with the $400 game console.

The perpetrators were described as black, age 20; one was light-skinned, 6-foot-4, 200 pounds and wearing a gray hoody; the second had a medium complexion, was 5-foot-11, 175 pounds and wearing a black hoody.

Granted

Struck twice from behind with a silver revolver, a 26-year-old was robbed of $50 late Saturday.

The offender fired towards the ground at about 10:25 p.m. on the 1800 block of South 65th Street when he didn’t immediately get the cash, a police report said. After taking the money, he fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The perpetrator was described as a black male, thin, age 25 to 29 and wearing a black coat, white-and-black scarf and yellow sneakers.

Sibling rivalry

An alleged dispute between two brothers ended in criminal charges against the younger.

Jahjuan Anderson, 31, and his 33-year-old sibling were believed to have been fighting over personal matters when the former pulled a black gun from his back pocket, according to a police report.

No shots were fired, but the younger Anderson, of the 5800 block of Belmar Terrace, was charged with aggravated assault and related offenses.


Last call

A bar owner was heldup at gunpoint early Tuesday and nearly $2,000 was taken from the till at The Hut Bar, 6718 Greenway Ave.

Two men entered the establishment at about 1:30 a.m. One pulled out a black handgun and demanded money from the 38-year-old, according to a report. The suspects took $1,500 from the proprietor and $433 from the register before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, a report said.

The offenders were described as black; one was 6 foot, 200 pounds and wearing a black hoody and black pants; the other had teardrop tattoos under both eyes and was wearing a black hooded jacket with "get down" or "lay down" on the back.

Phone stolen

Walking home, a 29-year-old was held at gunpoint by a man who told him to "run your pockets."

Pointing a black gun at the man’s chest at 10:50 p.m. Monday on the 6300 block of Chester Avenue, the mugger pulled a cellphone from the man’s pants pocket before running towards Kingsessing Avenue, according to a police report.

The offender was described as slim, black, age 25 to 30, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 with a dark complexion, full beard and wearing dark Dickies and a hoody.
