A trio of men robbed a male who had hoped to buy a television in West Passyunk last week.

At 9:50 a.m. July 14, the complainant reported he was to meet an unknown male on the 2100 block of South Norwood Street to purchase the device, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. He met the stranger not far from the destination and began to walk to see the item.

As he and the supposed seller were traveling, two accomplices approached and grabbed him from behind. The leader of the trio pointed a black gun at his head, while the first ally went through his pockets and the other helper kept him from breaking up the matter or leaving, Tolliver said. They took his wallet, keys and cell phone and fled in an unknown direction. The victim had no information on the third member but described the others as black, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-10; and having thin builds and light complexions, with the first wearing a white and blue jogging suit and toting a gun and the second wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.
