A woman was indecently assaulted in Passyunk Square last week.

The 19-year-old was strolling south on 13th Street when a man ran after her at 1:44 a.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. She fled to a home on the 1100 block of South 13th Street and tried to open the door, but the offender covered her mouth with a rag containing an unknown chemical and dragged her 15 feet before attempting to fondle her breast. The woman fought back and the perpetrator fled west on Annin Street.

The attack caused scratches to her knees, arms and face, but she did not seek medical treatment.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, 5-foot-9, 150 pounds with no facial hair but was unkempt, and wearing a black shirt, black pants and a black hat.
