An argument of an unknown nature allegedly led a man to continually stab two men even after police intervention.

Officers from the 3rd District responded to the 900 block of Mifflin Street where Bing Ke, 23, of the 1000 block of Ritner Street, allegedly stabbed a 24- and 50-year-old man at 10 p.m. March 28, Lt. John Stanford of the Police Public Affairs Unit said. He also is believed to have tried to tackle and stab a 24-year-old woman prior to police arrival.

“One officer drew his firearm and repeatedly told the male to stop and drop the knife,” Stanford said. “At that point, the male continued to stab the two individuals, forcing the officer to discharge his weapon three times, striking the male in the back and hip area.”

The older man was stabbed in the forehead while the younger male received wounds to his chest and back. Both were treated and released from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Ke was transported to the same hospital in stable condition, Stanford said.

Ke also was charged with three counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person and a count of aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, terroristic threats and harassment, according to court records. He posted a percentage of his $85,000 bail Tuesday.

As per protocol, the officer who fired the shots is on administrative duty during the Internal Affairs Bureau’s investigation, Stanford said.
