Three Lancaster County residents were arrested after attempting to rob and kidnap a woman on a South of South street Tuesday.

A white Ford Taurus slowly drove by a woman on the 1500 block of Bainbridge Street at 2:13 a.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Sean McAndrews, 29, of Lititz, who was sitting in the passenger’s seat of the auto, is believed to have called to her, but she kept walking. She heard the car door open and turned around to see McAndrews, who allegedly said, “give me that purse.”

The woman refused and did not release her purse causing it to rip, Tolliver said. At that point, Kevin Davis, 38, also of Lititz, exited the rear of the car and allegedly tried to drag the woman into the vehicle.

A nearby resident heard the commotion and yelled from her second-story window, “leave her alone,” Tolliver said. The duo pushed the woman to the ground causing a minor bruise to her left elbow before fleeing empty-handed.

The woman provided police with the car’s license plate number and officers stopped the auto in Point Breeze on the 1200 block of South 23rd Street, Tolliver said.

McAndrews, Davis and Christina Stolzfus, 39, of Denver, Pa., who was driving and owned the vehicle, were arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping, robbery and theft as well as criminal conspiracy, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
