A Lower Moyamensing bar fight ended with one man waking up with a concussion and a broken jaw.

A 34-year-old and an unknown man were arguing over an unknown matter at 1 a.m. April 17 inside Cookie’s Tavern, 2654 S. Alder St., when the latter pointed a knife at the 34-year-old, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. At that point another person whacked him on the back of the head with an unknown object, knocking him unconscious. The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital where he was treated for a concussion and a broken jaw.

The knife-wielding man was described as white, age 45 to 55, 5-foot-11; having a medium build and short, brown hair. A description of the other offender was not available at press time.
