Authorities arrested a Point Breeze woman for her alleged display of violence Monday.

Responding to a call on the 2100 block of Tasker Street at 12:07 p.m., police met with two complainants and learned that as they were trying to sleep in their bedroom, the defendant, whom the female victim described as her mother’s home health care provider, entered the abode with three unknown females, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. The occupants became involved in a confrontation with the supposed intruders, with the female resident sustaining a stab wound on her left hand and the male receiving a gash in the back with the unknown object.

The victims received transport to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania shortly after the purported attack and gave authorities the address of the supposed ringleader. They arrested 21-year-old Vanessa Shelby after a positive identification, with charges pending. The complainants described one of the alleged accomplices as black, 5-foot-6, in her 20s; and having dark skin and heavy, fat cheeks; another as black, 5-foot-4, in her 20s; and having light skin and a ponytail; and the third only as black.
