A woman was ripped from her car in Hawthorne last week.

A 23-year-old woman was in her 2008 Acura MDX at a stop sign on the 1300 block of Fitzwater Street at 4:07 p.m. Aug. 29 when an unknown man walked in front of her auto, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. A second man then opened her door and pulled to the ground and hopped in. The other man got in the passenger’s side, and the duo fled westbound on Fitzwater and southbound on Broad Street.

The woman received minor scratches to her arms, but did not seek medical attention, Tolliver said.

Police are seeking the vehicle with a Pennsylvania license plate of HVW0334.

The offenders were described as 20-year-old black males. The driver was described as 5-foot-11, having a goatee and a tattoo on his left hand and wearing a black T-shirt and a black baseball cap while the passenger was described as 6 foot, 170 pounds and wearing a white T-shirt, multicolored shorts and a black baseball cap.
