A Point Breeze shooting left one man with injuries to the lower parts of his body.

At 11:35 a.m. Friday, police learned from neighbors on the 2300 block of Dickinson Street that a 21-year-old man had been the victim of a shooting and had arranged for private auto transportation to HUP, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Ballistics evidence prompted police to meet the man at the hospital. They learned he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the left foot and a pair of gunshot wounds to the lower right leg.

He said that following a trip to a food store, someone started shooting at him after he began walking westbound on Dickinson Street. Gunfire struck him as he ran from the blasts. Flagging down a car, the man, reported in stable condition, made his way for help.

The suspect was described as a black man with brown skin, age 25, 6-foot-1, with a thin build and wearing a green hoody and blue pants.
