State Rep. William F. Keller of the 184th District is running unopposed in the primary, but will face Republican Stephen J. Pico, of Lower Moyamensing in November. The 184th District covers South Philly neighborhoods including sections of Lower Moyamensing, Navy Yard, Newbold, Pennsport, Passyunk Square, Point Breeze, Stella Maris, Sports Complex West Passyunk and Whitman. Each state representative is elected to a two-year term.

Keller, 51, is a 1968 graduate of Bishop Neumann. He graduated in ’72 from La Salle University with a degree in business and has held his position in the General Assembly since 1993. He currently serves on the appropriations, commerce, committees, gaming oversight, labor relations and urban affairs committees.

Keller has two children.
