Police are looking for the shooter of a Garden State resident whom they found in Whitman Friday.
Responding to a complaint of gunfire, authorities arrived on the 500 block of Wolf streets just before 4 p.m. and found the victim in the driver’s seat of a 2010 silver Mercury Milan, police said. Suffering from two gunshot wounds to the chest, he received transport to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where personnel pronounced him dead.
A witness told law enforcement agents that someone seated in the front passenger seat pulled the trigger, with police confirming the presence of shell casings in the front of the automobile. An unnamed business provided surveillance video to authorities, who yesterday released the identity of the victim, 18-year-old Kristopher Caban, of Washington Township, N.J., Police are conducting their investigation minus a motive.
