The Philadelphia Police Department needs the public’s assistance identifying a suspect for assault around 26th Street and Penrose Avenue.
On Monday, May 27 at approximately 9 p.m., a Philadelphia Police Officer observed an ATV fueling up at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 2601 Penrose Avenue.
The officer exited the patrol vehicle to conduct a vehicle investigation. As the officer approached the vehicle, the suspect revved the engine, pulled away and struck the officer in the leg/foot, according to police.
The suspect was captured on surveillance video inside of the gas station prior to the incident paying for his purchase.
