After receiving some cash, an allegedly armed bank robber, demanded more, but a Lower Moyamensing bank employee refused Saturday.

The man entered Wells Fargo, 2227 S. Broad St., at 9:45 a.m., approached a teller and said, “This is a bank robbery. Give me 100s, 50s and 20s. I have a gun,” Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. She handed over about $1,000, but he pressed for more. When she denied him, the suspect fled on foot.

The offender was described as white, age 40 to 50, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-8, stocky and wearing a gray hoodie, dark-colored cargo pants and blue sneakers.
