A Dickinson Narrows man was gunned down in Grays Ferry Saturday night.
Police responded to the 2700 block of Vare Avenue at 10:21 p.m. for a person with a gun, Officer Christine O’Brien of the Police Public Affairs Unit said. Officers located Witcomb Rodgers, 37, of the 500 block of McClellan Street, on the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and pronounced dead 19 minutes later.
Police did not have the motive or any suspects at press time.
