A woman was robbed at gunpoint in East Passyunk Crossing early Saturday.
A 21-year-old female was walking along the 1800 block of South 11th Street with a friend of the same age at 2:05 a.m. when an unknown man pointed a black handgun at her and demanded her purse, which contained ID, a credit card, keys and an iPhone 4, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. After complying, the duo fled as did the offender.
The suspect was described as black, 5-foot-6, in his mid-30s, thin; having light-colored facial hair; and wearing dark-colored clothing.
