A woman was pulled across the ground in Bella Vista during a robbery early Monday.
The 22-year-old was walking northbound on the 700 block of South Ninth Street at 3:45 a.m. when a man strolling behind her grabbed her purse, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Upon not releasing the item, the robber pushed her to the ground and dragged her for several feet. He then snatched her purse, which contained her wallet and debit cards, and fled north on Ninth.
The woman suffered scrapes to her right leg and elbow, Tolliver said.
Police did not release a detailed description of the offender by press time.
