Jackson Doggette and Marvin Gibson were charged with 13 and 11 robberies, respectively, in October. The pair, along with Anwar Mitchell and a juvenile at the time, also were involved in the string of robberies — 18 in total — in which $10,500, sneakers and cigarettes were stolen from stores in North, Southwest and South Philly, according to court records. However, Doggette, 22, and Gibson, 38, were charged federally with three counts of robbery which interfered with interstate commerce and carrying and using a firearm during a crime of violence, along with one count of aiding and abetting May 17, as their alleged crimes involved two North Philly Metro PCS and Rite Aid, 801 S. Broad St., stores.

Doggette supposedly was armed when he demanded cash from the Rite Aid employee Oct. 18 as Marvin stood as the lookout, according to police. They allegedly fled with $2,230.

The pair faces 57 years to life in prison, a $1.5 million fine and forfeiture of the Bersa .40 caliber handgun loaded with ten live rounds of ammunition that was believed to have been used in the robberies, according to court records.

In the Court of Common Pleas, Doggette and Gibson are awaiting trial while Mitchell, 19, has pled guilty to eight counts of robbery and awaits his June 21 sentencing.
