A man was wounded in Point Breeze while walking to a Chinese takeout eatery Sunday.

The 22-year-old was at 22nd and Cross streets en route to get food in West Passyunk when two unknown males passed him at 11:22 p.m., Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. A few second later, they ran in the other direction.

He heard gunshots and when he turned around, he saw a gun muzzle flash and the shooter, donning all black clothing, firing in his direction, Tolliver said. The man quickly scurried north on 22nd Street and felt pain in his right foot. He kept running until he reached Greenwich Street. He said, “I’ve been shot” and a neighborhood acquaintance transported him to HUP in stable condition.

A detailed description of the shooter was not available at press time.
