Three men, including one armed with an assault rifle, attempted to burglarize a Point Breeze business last week.
The trio entered Luck Sue Deli, 1639 S. 24th St., at 10:10 p.m. March 1, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. As the employees hid at the back of the business, one man stood guard at the door, another pointed the rifle through the glass and a third jumped a partition separating the business to try to gain access to the cash register. When he failed to do so, the teens grabbed some unidentified merchandise and vacated the store.
The teens were described as black, ages 18 to 20, 5-foot-7, 160 pounds and wearing black hoodies.
