A man burglarized a Newbold business by entering through the roof to steal cash and cigarettes Saturday.
The 48-year-old owner locked up Eight Brothers Food Market & Deli, 1733 Dickinson St., at 10 p.m. Friday, but upon arrival at 8:10 a.m. Saturday, he noticed a hole in the roof in addition to $1,700 and 40 packs of cigarettes missing, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said.
Police did not provide a detailed description of the offender at press time.
