A Lower Moyamensing man has been arrested for stealing from a Newbold funeral home.
Police arrested John Mancuso, 50, of the 800 block of Porter Street, after an anonymous tip at 1:25 a.m. Jan. 26 pinned him as the man who is believed to have stolen a metal cash box containing $400 from Carto’s Funeral Home Inc., 2212 S. Broad St., at 11:28 a.m. Jan. 11, police said.
Mancuso was arrested Feb. 3 and charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft and receiving stolen property, according to court records. He was arrested for a similar incident within the police department’s 1st District Jan. 12 in which he was charged with burglary and criminal trespassing.
