The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are trying to track down a man who robbed a Center City bank then left behind a grenade in South of South.

The at-large figure, whom authorities are considering armed and dangerous, entered Susquehanna Bank, 1845 Walnut St., at 4:50 p.m. Feb. 3 with what appeared to be a green grenade in his right hand. He presented a demand note to a teller and after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, he fled on foot, heading westbound on Walnut Street then southbound through Rittenhouse Square.

The Police Department’s Ordinance Disposal Unit determined the item to be an inert replica grenade upon discovering it on the 2000 block of Fitzwater Street. Authorities stated they might offer a reward for information leading to the man’s capture, with tipsters able to remain anonymous.
