Police are looking for a man who assaulted and robbed another male Saturday.
The complainant met with authorities at 12:29 a.m. and told them the at-large attacker approached him from behind in the area of the 700 block of Ritner Street, Detective Danielle Tolliver of South Detective Division said. Ordering his prey to empty his pockets, the figure punched him in the face and threw him to the ground before removing $50 from his pants, fleeing in an unknown direction.
A medic unit responded and transported him to Methodist Hospital, where personnel treated him for a bruise over his right eye and a swollen left elbow. The victim described the attacker at Latino, 5-foot-10, 22 or 23 years old and 200 pounds; having a light complexion, short hair, a moustache and a beard; and wearing dark clothing.
